I knew when we were headed to see Grant's family that we were headed for a small, rural town in Indiana and was warned not to have high expectations since there isn't much besides houses and farm land. Much to my surprise, I was charmed by the beauty of the historic downtown. The cafe, Rembrant's, stunned with it's Christmas decorations wrapping their outside patio in garland and red ribbon and wreaths hung by every door. From the gold City Hall dome to the Statues to the Liberty Bell and the Fire Station the short stroll through downtown is worth a quick visit if your on your way to Indianapolis or Cincinnati. Thick fog climbed to the trees and coated the entire town, the fog thinned out just enough for me to snap a few phtos and made our last morning in Madison feel mystical.
